I've been a professor in English (past) and Engineering (present). I love working in an engineering context, but I couldn't build the things I do if I hadn't spent years working with critical and cultural theory. I'm especially partial to poststructural feminist theory as a lens through which to understand how power operates in the world and how to build things so they work for how people actual live.
